Your personal data may be processed in the UK, the United States, Uganda and other countries where our service providers operate. Data protection laws in these countries differ. Whenever we transfer data across borders, we use appropriate safeguards to protect it:
- For transfers from the UK, we rely on UK adequacy regulations or appropriate safeguards such as the International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA) or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

- Backup copies may persist for a limited period before they are overwritten.
7. Data Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit, hashed passwords, access controls and regular security reviews. However, no online service can be completely secure, and you share information with other users at your own discretion.
8. Age Restriction
LifePartner4U is strictly for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If we become aware that a user is under 18, we will close the account and delete their data.

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, analyse usage and (with your consent where required) measure marketing performance. You can manage non-essential cookies through our cookie banner or your browser settings. See our separate Cookie Policy for details.
10. Your Rights — Overview
Depending on where you live, you have rights over your personal data. The core rights are listed here, with region-specific details in Sections 12–14:
- Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Delete your data in certain circumstances.
- Object to or restrict certain processing, including direct marketing.
- Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.
- Data portability — receive your data in a portable format.
To exercise any right, contact us at [DPO / PRIVACY EMAIL]. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
11. Region-Specific Rights
The following sections set out additional rights and information that apply depending on your country.
12. United Kingdom
If you are in the UK, you have all the rights under the UK GDPR listed in Section 10, plus the right to data portability and the right not to be subject to solely automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects. We will respond to requests within one month.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk, though we’d appreciate the chance to address your concerns first.
13. United States
If you are a U.S. resident, your rights depend on your state. Residents of California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas and other states with comprehensive privacy laws have the right to know what personal information we collect, to access and delete it, to correct inaccuracies, and to opt out of targeted advertising and the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not “share” it for cross-context behavioural advertising as those terms are defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) and similar state laws. Because we do not sell or share personal information, no “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” action is required, but you may still exercise your other rights by contacting us.
California residents may also designate an authorised agent to make requests on their behalf, and may request information about the categories of personal information disclosed for a business purpose in the prior 12 months.
14. Uganda
If you are in Uganda, the Data Protection and Privacy Act, 2019 gives you the right to be informed of the collection of your data, to access it, to prevent processing that causes unwarranted damage or distress, to correct or delete inaccurate data, and to object to direct marketing. We collect and process your data fairly and lawfully and have registered with the Personal Data Protection Office (PDPO) where required.
You may lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Office (PDPO) of Uganda if you believe your data has been mishandled.
